Below are 30 ways to pray for your future husband. Whether you know him already or have yet to discover him, here are several ways to begin praying for him. Not only have I included ways to pray for him but I included things to strengthen these qualities within yourself as well. Enjoy!
Day 1: Pray for someone to encourage him today.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
As you are praying this prayer for your future man, here is a challenge for you: Who can you encourage today? Give someone special in your life a phone call to see how they have been or thank someone for something they have done for you recently.
Day 2: Pray for oneness to keep your unity in faith and (future) marriage as God created it.
Ephesians 5 (Read whole chapter) v. 31-32: “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh, This is a profound mystery, but I am talking about Christ and the church.”
Oneness- the state of being united or whole, being one in number
Michael Todd explained oneness in his book "Relationship Goals" like this:
" He wanted it to be one God, one man, one women, one marriage, one sex partner, one flesh, one lifetime to create one picture. It's a whole lot simpler, stabler, and more beautiful than all the crazy, messed-up ways people do relationships in our culture. (Below)
Also, Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” The three strands are a man, a women, and God. 🔼 Notice in a triangle with God at the top, all the sides are the same, not one is better than the other but they are equal. Husbands and wives are to equally be moving towards God, who is always at the top! 🏔

Day 3: Pray for him to have wisdom throughout the day. 🗣
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you praying for wisdom and guidance over my future husband today and for all the day’s to come. God you know his heart, give him strength to make the right choices and become the man you called him to be. Give him knowledge, understanding, and discernment for the future. IN JESUS NAME, AMEN!! ✞ ✞ ✞

One verse, three versions, what version do you like the most?
NIV: If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
MSG: If you don't know what you're doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You'll get this help, and won't be condescended to when you ask for it.
TPT: And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and he will give it! He won't see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold over your failures but he will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace.
Day 4: MAN OF PRAYER 🙌🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼
I pray that my future husband would be a man of prayer. I pray that he continually understands the importance and necessity of prayer. I pray he comes to you in every struggle, challenge, and battle he may face.
1 John 5:14: This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he will hear us.

Day 5: Pray for his confidence. 💪🏼 Pray that he stays confident in who he is, and never feels inadequate in his job of in his role as a husband or father. Pray for him to release any insecurity that he may have about himself. Pray he has confidence in his wife. 👰🏻
Jeremiah 17:7: But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
Proverbs 31: 11-12: Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.

Who can agree with me that there are things/ or days in your life when you are SOO confident? Then, there are things in your life/or day's when you are SOO insecure, not confident, and feel like you just aren’t as good as you thought you were? Well I believe this isn’t just a girl thing, this is something men feel too! Pray a BOLD prayer for both your future husband and yourself. Pray for consistent confidence! Day 6: Pray that he takes the time to rejoice in the day, giving all the glory to God. ✞
1 Corinthians 10:31
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it for the glory of God.
I really want you all to meditate on this verse today. Read it over and over, think about it, and pray about it. What does this verse mean to you? What are you doing today to bring glory to God? How are you praising and worshiping him everyday? If you aren’t doing it how are you expecting your future husband to be🤭🤯

Day 7: Pray that he always find hope in a world that says there is none, and that he reaffirms hope in our Heavenly Father.🎚
Hebrews 6:19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. ⚓️
Hebrews 6 aligns with the Old Testament where God PROMISES Abraham that he would bless him and give him many descendants, after a lot of patience, Abraham received what God promised. Abraham had HOPE that the Lord’s promise was true.
Pray for a man like Abraham, a man who hopes in Jesus Christ & his promises. Jesus is our hope. We live in a fallen, broken, very imperfect world. How awesome is it that we can find our hope in Jesus Christ today and everyday, PRAISE THE LORD. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Day 8: Pray that he never goes through a day where he feels unloved or isolated.
1 John 4: 7-12
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
Whoa❕…now go back and read that again… heck read it out loud to yourself or read it really slowly
(There is so much importance in slowing yourself down and really focusing word for word on what the word of God is saying)
❌Today’s challenge❌: It may be uncomfortable and awkward but write a love letter/ note of encouragement to your future husband. Let him know that he is so loved by you and our Heavenly Father! Put it somewhere safe and secure, that is something special to save for the man you know was sent to you from God🧖!

Day 9: COMMUNICATION. 🗣
I pray that my future husband knows that he can always communicate with me about any topic good or bad. I pray that he responds with gentleness, kindness, and understanding in all situations. In return, help me to respond with patience, love, and compassion. Lord give us the strength to communicate well and forgive one another. 🙏🏼

Day 10: Pray that he always has the willingness to serve with a servant’s heart.❤️

You my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather serve on another humbly in love.
Question: What does it mean to serve others❔
Answer: To serve means to give without expecting anything in return. Serving is the active deed of love.

Showing hospitality, doing the dishes/laundry for your family, participating in community service are just a few was to serve.
Serve God by spending quiet time alone with him, reading your bible daily, and worshipping him throughout the day. 🙌🏼🙏🏼

Day 11: Pray for his career and the role he plays among his work peers. Pray that he lives each day to it’s fullest potential and is diligent in all that he does. ⬇️

Day 12: Pray for a less stressed day, and that it be filled with joy. ✨🌻
I’m calling this one the challenge overcomer. 💪🏼 Spend some time with God today talking to him about something you feel you are struggling with. Ask God to give you the strength to overcome your obstacles. THEN, pray that same prayer for you future husband. Whether you may know him or not ask God to help him breakthrough any struggle or stress that he may have in his life right now. ✝️💟
💡I learned just the other day that prayer is a sign of trusting in God. I challenge you to fully put your trust in the plans God has for you. Also, trust the Lord with your trials and difficulties.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.
That is one of my favorite verses and such good one to remember in times of trouble. Bible memory is important ✅ Try to memorize this verse, or memorize your favorite verse and think about why that verse is special to you.💭
Day 13: Pray for his health, both mentally and physically.
MENTALLY: 🧠
Lord, I pray for your protection on my future husband’s mind. Shield him from the lies of the enemy. Help him to clearly discern between Your voice and any other. Give him strength to resist lying thoughts. I pray he will not entertain confusion, but live in clarity. He will not be tormented with impure, evil, negative, or sinful thoughts, but be transformed by the renewing of his mind.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable— if anything is excellent or praiseworthy— think about such things.

A man of patience is such a blessing from God. Pray for a overwhelming flow of patience for your future husband. Also, pray for patience for yourself, I KNOW there are times when we all get impatient whether that’s in the grocery store, with our parents, when we drive etc. Slow down girl, Jesus was never in a hurry why should you be?

Day 16: Pray for him to be a good father to your children. 👨👩👧👦
Whether you desire to have children or not some day, the importance of a man with characteristics of a good father needs to resemble Our Father in heaven.
Promises of our Father (& much more):
♥️unconditional love- Reckless love (Cory Asbury)🎶
♥️watches over us- protection
♥️makes sacrifices to provide- Provider (Cade Thompson)🎶
♥️leadership-sets a good example
These qualities are the ones we should be looking for in the (potential) father of our children. This is something to strongly consider when you are in the dating stage of a relationship! 👥

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Girls, this verse is speaking deep into the men we should be praying for. Pray a BOLD & SPECIFIC prayer today that he is able to speak life and truth into your children and you! 🗯

Day 18: Pray for him to take time to grow in his own relationship with God through prayer and Bible study. Pray that his faith stands firm no matter what comes. 🙌🏼🙌🏼

A little something I learned to help me understand a verse is to pick it apart word-for-word or chunk-by-chunk. 🙂
▫️Be on your guard—Be cautions, guard your heart from things that may be tempting to you to sin or trying to creep in and steal your peace✌🏼
▫️STAND FIRM in faith— When you stand firm you don’t let anything shake you, break you, or tear you apart from your faith 🔒
For your future husband, be praying that He is deeply rooted in his faith🌱. Pray for growth and breakthrough over his life. Pray that he has a strong, firm, and secure relationship with the Lord. Pray he is motivated to strengthen his relationship with God daily and that he chases after opportunities to learn more. Pray for this for yourself as well!
Day 19: Pray for him to be content with as little or as much in life. ✨
Contentness is HUGE! This is something our society/world struggles with. 🌎 We are such consumers. The world tells us the more you have and the more you do, the more you matter...and that's a LIE. 🤫 With God what you have is a blessing from Him, and the things you do are enough for Him. God gives you what you need. Our God is a God of simplicity. Little is more! ❤️

Day 20: Pray for certain qualities in your future man, using the writing prompt below. ⬇️ I strongly encourage you to actually write down these things in a notebook, journal etc.🗒🖊
Now as we write about these characteristics in a man, we have to be careful to not make our list too long or too specific. Pray that you won’t settle for anything less than what you deserve today, and continue to have a open mind and heart so that God can surprise you with someone who is even better than you could have ever dreamed up on your own. 🙌🏼

This one isn’t only for your future husband, I think this is something as Christ followers we all need to be better at. As Christians our mission is to share the love Jesus by accepting Jesus our hearts❤️, living according to His word📖, and making disciples🧍🏻♀️🧍🏼♂️🧍🏻.
The Gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died on the cross and 3️⃣ days later He rose again saving us from our sins creating a gateway for us to live an eternal life with Him in heaven. We pray a prayer to invite the Holy Spirit into our lives, and ask for forgiveness from the God who saves. 💘

Day 22: Pray that he recognizes his daily blessings and the blessing that he is to others.

Blessings flow from the goodness of God. Often times we find ourselves pointing out the negative and dwelling on the worst possible outcome in any situation we may be in❌. I want to reassure you today that God already has it worked out. That thing you have been stressing about, crying about, overthinking etc. has already been take care of in the eyes of the Lord, all you have to do is obey. 💚
Deuteronomy 28:2
All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.
Say a prayer today about the blessings you recognize in your life. (I promise the list is longer than you may think📝.) Thank the Lord for all the great things you do have. Also, pray that God uses you in a way that you are a blessing to those around you. ❎2️⃣ Pray this a second time for the man God places in your life. 🙂
Day 23: Pray for his heart. Pray that the Lord is preparing a man with a loving and tender heart. ❤️😍

These 5 different love languages are important to recognize in yourself and those around you. Today do some self-analyzing and think about the the love language you have or maybe the love language you want to improve upon your life more! 💞

Day 24: Pray that he continually respects you.
1 Peter 3:7❕
Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
💛As a significant other you should expect to be talked to and talked about in a respectful way. In a way that is honorable to one another. Be mindful of one anothers boundaries and privacy. He should treat you in a way that shows deep love and admiration. 💛
HOW TO DETERMINE RESPECT👥🤔
Are you TRUSTING eachother?
Are you COMMUNICATING well?
Are you ENCOURAGING one another?
Are you ACCEPTING one another’s differences?
Are you being an example to those around you?
If God is in your relationship it shouldn’t be hard or stressful. 🤯
How you spend your time in singleness will have effect on how you date. 🤩 The way you date will have an effect on your marriage. 👰🏻
Day 25: Pray that he recognizes his own personal talents and that he uses them to their fullest.✨

There are different kinds of gifts but the same Spirit distributes them.
God picked your spiritual gifts. Use your gifts, do not be jealous of others gifts, instead focus on the things you are capable of and grow in your gifted abilities.😁🌿
Say a prayer today to strengthen your best qualities and that you are able to use them to be a example of Christ. Pray that you and your husband both use the talents that God set in place for your life. 💕

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from their faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
If there is any greed in your life, get it out! Is there any possession you are holding onto that you just cannot let go? Stop idolizing temporary things. ❌
Give, be generous 🤗-2 Corinthians 9:7
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. ♥️
Be a cheerful giver today. Show someone else how you care about them. 💛
Pray that you future husband gains wealth, is wise with his finances, and is a giver of all the things he may earn. Same goes for you! Gain, give, and be blessed.💸
Day 27: Pray that he expresses fruits of the spirit throughout his days! 🍎🍊🍋🍒
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Day 28: Pray for his family. 👨👩👦👦
Unity in marriage 💍, also comes with the unity of your family and his family👨👩👧👦. Family can be overwhelming at times, but such a blessing! Today pray that his family treats you will love and respect. In return, your reciprocate the same love and respect back to them. Pray for acceptance and strong healthy relationships for both your husbands relationship with his family and your relationship with your future family! You may not even know the people who are going to be your family yet! 🤯
Proverbs 17:17 says, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”
This is who family is. 💁🏻♀️ Family are the people we lean on when times get tough and difficult. Pray that he has a family that supports you and encourages you when there are trials. Pray for his family to help you in your walk with the Lord. In those challenging season of life pray that you are being guided by family members who are pushing you towards Godly choices. 💡
Relationship builders are the people God called all of us to be! However, that does not mean we need to strive to be liked, but we must live in peace with all people whether that is family, friends, co-workers, colleagues etc.! ✌🏼
